this is a sort of pat on the back of self for cultivating restraint as far as food is concerned. although the massive accumulation of snow could be equally responsible for said restraint. i did entertain the notion, for a while, of tramping to the turkish restaurant for dinner (yes, the establishment is quite unimaginatively called that--the turkish restaurant) but the prospect of getting home late and arranging transport for that purpose was quite unpalatable. so i elected to be packed like a sardine in the school bus (because they've cut runs for my route this semester) and come dutifully home before daylight faded to have dinner cooked entirely at home. then i wanted dessert and crepe heaven was just calling to me like a sultry siren but again, the snow saved the day, because even though i would have liked to sit there and have some decadent chocolate filled creation, i couldn't face bundling up and trudging out again. my weaker nature, undeterred however, conceived the idea of ordering pizza hut chocolate sticks or the dominos crunchy cake thingies with chocolate syrup inside, but that was an unconvincing idea even while being conceived, and anyway, those 'desserts' hardly qualify for the term. so i settled for a til-gur chikki.
so note to self: it is in fact very much possible to survive on two self-made meals a day. hurrah.

I made the mistake of not buying groceries before the snow hit. I'm STARVING. I thought about ordering pizza too but it seemed almost cruel. I've survived on sardines and dried cereal. Here we go weight loss, here we go!
